Attempt at Poetry 2: Dear Time

Dear Time, Can I get time to meet you?
It seems that I have no clue,
I left my crew,
And I am feeling blue.
But still, I am chasing you.
I lost bad habits and some good friends,
I quit the internet and some trends,
I’m trying to make amends,
But still, can’t manage my spends.
No, I have enough cash to survive,
But I’m not able to thrive,
I’m missing my drive,
Is there something wrong with my life?
An Attempt at Poetry

Oh dear world, what have you done to me?
I was unavailable, but now I am free.
Well, I am not free, but I am exhausted.
The work I have done doesn’t need to be boasted.
I have chosen to be poetic because I am bored.
The opinions in this post are to be ignored.
The shenanigans of work are not to be shared.
The details of my life are not to be aired.
I am generally always happy,
But you might feel that I am crappy.
The Art of Ice-Breaking

Dear Readers,
This is some Lion King shit, so strap in. And yes, I know the irony of me—telling you how to talk to strangers. But hey, this is about breaking the ice—professionally or socially—and I’ve recently dusted off some old lessons. So, let’s dive in.
The Ice-Breaking Regret 🔗
Ever walked away from a situation thinking, “Why didn’t I say that?” Me too. As a kid, I was basically a walking TED Talk, waltzing up to strangers and dropping absurd, possibly made-up facts (like an 83% stat straight out of Barney Stinson’s playbook). Now? I rehearse conversations like my social life depends on it, only to chicken out when it’s time to actually use the script.
The Unorthodox Job Approach

I’ve been planning to write this blog for a month. Better late than never. Despite the title, my credentials might not seem relevant to the content that follows, so I’ll skip declaring them. These are simply my observations from personal experiences of acceptance and rejection. They might not be the ultimate solution to your goals—given my career trajectory is fairly average—but they’ve helped me maintain a low rejection rate. Feel free to ignore these insights if they don’t resonate with you.
